PPP3 - 1-2-1 Careers Meeting

1-2-1 Careers Meeting 

The main aim of this meet was to discuss future placement for this year and how to start looking for these. Feeback form the meting was that a main way to get these is via social media sites, Linked In, Instagram, Twitter, Behance as the main ones. This means all my sites need to be updated.

Also something we discussed is that i need to make sure all my personal pages like Facebook/Twitter/Instagram are made private so when i'm searched the professional sites can only be seen, (this is so professional don't see any drunk photo of me).

Linked In-
It was discussed that connecting with alumni from the uni would be good way to explore placement and studio that could offer placements. This is as they understand the course reputation, work and will probably have to have done placement in 3rd year too. Currently i have a linked in i set up last year, but i don't really understand or use it. There is a Linked In workshop available which i've managed to get on but this isn't till February and i want to start now.

Twitter-
This site was discussed last year in the talk from Danny and Charlotte as the site they got their job off but i've yet to set up a twitter page as i don't even use my private page. The meeting suggested that i set up a page on this site just to keep a look o for jobs offered and to follow studios ect. Also this would be a good way to link it to my Instagram, Behance and Linked In profiles together.

Instagram -
So last year and first year i made a Instagram page for my work to share it but i current haven't used it over summer at all and also feel it no longer reflect my visual style as it's linked to my branding form first year and most of my first year work. Due to this another site page needs to be created that actually reflect my current work. Also need to have to same name as my other social sites os can be linked (currently doesn't).

Behance -
I used my Behance quite a lot last year to show my work, but after looking at the current page it's not very professional. Work i don't really life and isn't photographed is up there, which make it clear my page isn't a professional site. Also some work from the end of last year isn't up there at the moment, 505 brief outcomes and my personal summer work this needed to be added. Make it quality over quantity. Also all the work so far does't have any description, after looking at popular posts they all have descriptions so change this. Also the more i interact and share this page the more views i'll get, so use it more.
