Label Design
After the idea for this brief has been created the aim now is to design label for the sharpies that mimic the same styles and look of the original branding. The features and what they are being changed to have be decided therefor now the visual need to be created.
The main recognizable and largest part of the label is the sharpie logo which has be identified as a unique logo type, as this is the major part of the label and the part that the audience will recognized this needs to be as accurate as possible. This is the defining part of the project, therefore need to be perfect as to give off a good impression to the studios also showing my type capability.
sizing -
as to work out the sizing of the type the current logo will be studied to keep the factors the same
the x-height, y-height, size of the first letter ect have all been measures then drawn out so the first example can be tested.
first test-
digital conversion-
After comparing this to the sharpie logo this still isn't very similar, the B needed work, development was done to make the logos more similar.

Changed to Permanent creative as to fit with the current pens more accurately, social media name will be sent in letter instead |
 |
placement changed |
The ACMI logo has not been added to the pens, this as this is very small logo and the text was under size 2pt and this made the logo very blurry and pixelated, this reduced the over all quality of the designer therefore was not included.

Size/sticker shape tests -
Before the printing for the sticker the final size and shape needed to be decided, to test this paper copies have been printed then applied to the pen. This is to test which sizes work best, make sure the logo is position correctly, make sure the label will fit the pen, the logo is the correct size.
After the test the label was slightly too long and too big as the paper over lapped, this was changed on the designer before printing as to remove as many issues with the prints as possible. The sizing was amended to the final label below.
As there are 4 set of 4 pens, 16 labels are needed with a few tests and a few for incase they are applied wrong, therefore 2 sheets of A4 on white sticker paper have been printed, this give room for human error (24 labels Printed).
