PPP3 - Sharpies

After deciding to send of a range of different personally picked sharpies to the studios, the sharpie set needed to be decided on. The aim was to purchase a selected range of sharpies individually then send of these 4 to the brands, but after research it worked out more efficient to purchase a large pack of all the colours then select the set from this. This pack included the whole range of sharpies therefore a large choice selection was available.

PERSONALISED - One of the main aim of this brief is to make the item i send personal to the brand but also to my self. As to achieve this the selection of 4 sharpies will be taken from colours the brands use on their sites as influence so that the colour sent hopefully will be liked by the brand, rare colours as to appear special, colour in their work so the studio will hopefully actually use the colours but also colours i feel work well together and colours i like, i aim to show my interest in the colours i send so they need to reflex by colour styles/interest as well as the studios will judge this. The colour selected will be groups i personally feel match to add this touch, colours that work well together (could be used together).

-shows interest in bright colours
-will be judge on the colour choices by studios
-make it look cool

REMOVING THE LABEL

To seem more professional/less cheap actual sharpies where bought for this brief, this was important as a to add level of professionally to the the outcome rather than a cheaper knock of brand but this brought a problem as the sharpies has the brands logo printed on them. This will be to be covered or removed.

HOW
-remove which scalpel? (leave marks)
-remove which nail polish remover? (will this even work?)
-cover (unprofessional/last option)

TEST

Scalpel

-leaves texture marks
-takes ages

Nail Remover

-works on the black pen, harder on the colour sets
-slightly dangerous (poising from the nail varnish)

After working on how to rake the labels off the sharpies due to health and safety issues with the nail polish remover and how much/long it took to get the labels off using this method the labels will be scraped of using a scalpel as the small texture left  by this method can be covered using the stickers for the labels.
