Work Placement, Day1
what I did:
FitFeet Stationary
-business cards
-a5 Poster
-Letter Header
-email signature
-Compliments Slip
-Appointment Card
update with new information and make design changes
Worked on the Leeds University Union Ball Posters, cut out and edited images for the posters
what I learned/notes:
-use my initiative
-TRY TO BE FASTER WITH PHOTOSHOp/CUTTING OUT IMAGES
-don't need to be perfect needs to be 80% and FAST
-working FAST is good
-always round up when charging for time/hours taken
-mate rates are fine, but never do it too cheap/out of pockets
-make sure everyone knows what you're doing as they can help
-clients can be told their changes are stupid if needs are, eg the image is rubbish and needs a better one
-DEADLINE ARE STILL STRESSFUL AT WORK
-you will be working long hours sometimes
-make sure you relax
AT THE START OF THE DAY ALL MEET AND TALK ABOUT WHAT THEY'RE DOING AS A STUDIO TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE CAN HELP AND KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING ON THAT DAY
MY OPINION MATTERS
GOOGLE STUFF I CANT DO
Currently, in extended practice I'm working on 'Stationary' for Liv Marshall Photography, having now done this professional in my work placement for a client I can apply these rules to this brief.
FIRST- designing it on InDesign instead of illustrator
follow lines already on the document -
clean art working
make a compliment slip -
