as photography is one of the areas i need to improve/learn to help enhance my visually products of my work i went to a work shop, this is what i learnt for the workshop.
i currently scan most of my pages/items in as this is the best way to get better quality imager of my ideas/designs but i feel that over time and in the professional world this is a skill i will need to perfect to help me show my work to the best.
this work shop showed me how to use/rent cameras at uni, how to set them up, how to change the setting and what effect the apture and shutter speed have on the photographs.
PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
FIRST THINGS TO DO WITH CAMERAS
- set to manual
- clear memory card
- reset settings
- auto white balance
- ISO
In this worksop we were told about how the aperture and shutter speed effect the light and movement in the image. The larger the shutter speed the longer light is absorbed but the lens causing a more burred movement image, this can be used to capture movement in photography and add depth to the photograph.
the faster th shutter speed the more precise and sharp the image, it takes s snap shot of the movement. we experimented with this using a spinning coin and running water. i turned up the shutter speed for the doing and down for the water to see the different effects.
High Shutter Speed
none burred, clear image that takes a photo of whats happening in the spilt second.
Low Shutter Speed
the water is seen as running as the image is more burred because the lens is open for a longer time.
APATURE
Apature relates to the amount of light the lens lets in, its open idea at a small aperture and smaller for a larger aperture, this increases and decreases the bightness and light in the photograph.
