EVENTS IN LEEDS TO VISIT OVER NOVEMBER




Leeds Oktoberfest, 4th - 8th

Oktoberfest is a long tradition which started in Munich 200 years ago. It is a celebration of the gathering of the harvest but has been transformed into a time where people can learn about german culture, drink and celebrate the different unique styles see in this countries cultures. the aim of the tents/festival is to allow its audience to have feeling of being in Munich during the experience, give them a knowledge of how the german culture works and what they do . Blue and white colours characterise the tent, and  the waitresses and waiters are dressed in Dirndl and Lederhosen traditional german clothes while music is played and people drink.




Light Up Hyde Park, 12th

This event is a peaceful demonstration aiming to raise awareness of a cause, the organisers want to raise awareness about issues of people not feeling safe or secure in  the leeds area. Many people unsafe or unhappy in parts of leeds. The event will be filmed and used a way of as being able to present the council with our proposal combined with visual evidence of the community pulling together and demonstrating will help to make our case stronger. This is a project by the community for the community.


Belgrave Feast, 14th

This is a free feast and arts market situated in Belgrave a popular student bar in the centre of leeds, its a way to find new places to visit and experience many different styles in one place. Its a useful events for customer and businesses in leeds to expand their knowledge and experience, you can see all leeds has to offer in one place which allows its visitors to gain a greater knowledge of the city. 3 floors of unique street food, art and ales.


Etsy Made Local: Leeds Christmas Market, 26th 

The Etsy Made Local: Leeds Christmas Market will be held on the 6th December and will showcase the best local creative talent and carefully curated products from sellers based in and around the Leeds area. During the day the audience can browse our selection of stalls, selling a range of items from Etsy's 3 selling categories: Handmade, Vintage and Supplies. There will also be craft workshops and Etsy talks running throughout the day, more details on these will be coming soon. Entry to the market is free but there may be a small charge for the workshops.This year Etsy are supporting local Christmas Markets all over the UK. These markets are all about celebrating local crafters and designers and encouraging people to shop local this Christmas.
