A current trend on the social media site Instagram is to create and post 100 days of a selected topic, this has been done by many different creative or people for a variety of reasons with a wide range of topics.
This trend started off in New Zealand due to the project 100 Days, this a site where anyone can join and then take part in the 100 days challenge but as the start day of this is August this cannot be done for this years PPP so personally i am starting the brief now instead.

People create the social media hashtag 100daysof... as one of the aim of this year is to get back into typography which i tried to do last year so for this i will pick 100daysoftype as my subject area.
This project will allow me to create 100 piece of type for my portfolio whilst also will allow me to create a social media site which i use everyday, and it will also allow me to spend 10 minutes a day creating something not relating to brief or other work but just for myself and for my personal interest. Also hopefully this project will allow me to get to know how to use illustrator more as still i struggle with the software.
Also an issue i had this year and last year was that i didn't feel my work looks aesthetically pleasing, hopefully the research and the work for this brief will allow me work more on this. To find more text types, fonts, style i like and trends which i can use in my other briefs.
RULES -
-create 1 piece a day
-only take 10 minutes
-take inspiration from anything/my day/other work
-post it everyday on the social site on my professional Instagram page with the 100daysoftype hashtag.
-make it visually heavy
-start tomorrow
-document it on this blog
