PPP 2- STUDIO BRIEF 1 - Presentation Skills Workshop

Presentation Skills Workshop

As an identified weakness in my feedback from my presentation last year was the speed of my presenting this is something i'm aiming to work on this year before my final PPP presentation. As this is an area i'd like to work on when a presentation skill workshop became available i thought this would be a good area to explore.

As part of the talk speed was discussed, i was really happy about this as i really want to and need to improve on this aspect of my presenting. Rick made us stand up as a group and experiment with talking slower and faster, this was to show us how to control the speed of our speech. We had to repeat over the sections of text as he did at the same speed, at first admittedly i did find this difficult as in generally i talk faster than most people. The simple nature of this task wasn't easy for me but after a found how to control this i managed to make my speech slow down, this was in a lecture hall when i'm not presenting myself but hopefully i can now apply this to my speech when in those situations.  SLOW DOWN BY CALMING DOWN AND TAKING CONTROL, BREATH.

The important parts of the presentation have been photographed so i cant learn these and look back at these rules when i create my final PPP presentations.
