PPP - STUDIO BRIEF 1- Calm


Calm

As a designer but also in my every day personal life i am a very stressful person, i get worried about deadlines, my designs not being good enough, being judged for my work styles, my work not being professional enough, my work being different. Everyone who knows me tells me to calm down, de stress, relax ect almost daily but this is what make me perfect my design process, i stress but it get my work done but i'm starting to realize it might not be healthy. I need to find new ways of managing my stress to help me become more mental stable. If i control it more my process might benefit for it as a positive also it might make me a happier designer.


For christmas this year i have asked for products ect that will help me deal with my stress and my friend on the course bought me a book called Calm. Its an art book dedicated to de stressing and calming, its perfect not only because of its purpose but artistically the type it uses, styles, layouts are my prefered form of design. Its a self help book that feels like it has ben design for me, its full of tips, idea and solution to stress which for the next term i'm trying to apply to my life.

















the book is full with positive quotes, positive idea, steps to help me relax, steps to help me sleep, ways to be more creative, ways to help my design process ect. I will apply these to my life to see if they help me worryless, stress less causing my work to improve as well as effect my confidence. My aim is to become a less stressful design so i can think clearer which will improve my process/practise as well as my life overall.
