This is a selection of shorts (short videos) on 4OD where an artitst takes people and paints them so they become 'invisible' in their surroundings, the model is naked but as the artist paints them so well they disappear with the background. The artist takes people who stand out against the normal and makes them fit in,
people who want to feel less visible again, see how people react when they don't notice them. Selected subject that are used to people staring at them but changing this so it created a new experience for them.
The artists then record how the audience react to finally seeing the models, shows how shocked people are when they final see the person. I feel this work is really interesting as it shows art as a way of hiding and changing peoples opinions, it takes a subject that stands out and changes this.
The way she uses art to show the subject a world of invisible they don't experince on day to day lives, lets they experince a world they cant imagine.
it allowed people to show off their confidence and the shorts relate to how art can be anything, it can effect people in different ways but can stand out but not standing out. Over all the small selection of videos this highlighted how i can do anything i want with my creativity then it will have an effect on an audience indifferent ways, as long as it has a positive effect does it need to have a purpose?
This artist is amazing and her skill is clear, her real life paining on human bodies show how anything can be an canvas.
