In my practise i used post it notes daily, i forget things a lot and a way i deal with this is to do lists and post it. This is to constantly remind me of important thing i needed to do, blog posts i need to do, artists i need to research because of this having post it notes allows me to quickly write down ideas i have or artists i want to research then stick them to pages. I also used them as ways of record any feedback i get given as i hand them out, this means people write smaller quicker feedback but i can receive a lot more varied results as over the year i have realized people are more likely to give feedback if its quick and doesn't involve much writing. People are lazying and want to write at little as possible so more people write if you only make them write a small amount, giving them a post it allows them to stick the feedback directly to my work whilst only giving them a small amount to right. For my next crit i will leave out post it notes to make sure people can give feedback in this style.
Post its also allow me to go back to my idea and add more concepts/points to them without drawing over the existing design, highlights the new information so i remember this needs to be blogged about or researched more.
I personally relay on them as part of my work, they are stuck over my laptop, shelves, on book pages, on my sketches and as its a important part of my practise i feel this idea needs to be reflected in my self branding.
Post it notes are very manual as they can be produced/wrote on digitally, they express manual text and ideas, this also reflect my way of working as for the concepts and first ideas rather then the digital production is the part i want to do as a career. Post its are created to write ideas and symbolise thinking, remembering, and dotting in the design industry, this is a theme i want to reflect in my project for myself branding.
