Rubber Stamp Experiments
After researching method on how to create a stamp at home. one of the ideas was to create a stamp out of rubber, this would work as a cheaper/easiler to excess option to lino. As i had a bought a long cutter i could use this to cut out the stamp in the rubber, i first cut out a simple experiment of just the b for my brand. After my first lino experiment was backwards for this i did the design backwards before i printed it.
STAMP ALWAYS NEED TO BE BACKWARDS
paint experiments -
for this i didn't have any ink so had to use paint which gave a textured effect and dried quickly, therefore i added water the paint which made it too runny, for the next experiments i will use an stamp pad.
ink experiments -
As this rubber is thicker than the lino its easier to pick up of the paper but as its a primary use is a rubber the stamp is more flaky, the print is less smooth/even than the lino, also it isn't as durable, its started to get damaged after being cleaned, falling apart (not eco friendly in the long run) . Was easier to cut though.
