After visiting Paris and York last year part of my aims for this year is to visit load of different international cities, this is as they celebrate a different style of architecture/art/culture that i can't pick up or be influenced by in leeds. I feel like my design work and motivation for my practise is highly driven by the visits as they show me different cities i want to work which motivates me to get a better grade os i can travel around with my world, i want to work for many different place in my life and these visits allow me to see which cities i will aim for.
Also i think that having a change of eviroment and daily routine allows me expand my work both professionally and personally, i gain more experiences for these trips and learn things that i wouldn't be able to here. I learn more about myself and the world by traveling around to different places, for example on this trip i discovered how a older architectural styles and materials can be more beautiful than modern ones in selected area. How the city of Amsterdam has two sides, the beautiful peaceful day time city but this is then contradicted by the red- light district at night thats full of drugs, sex worker and other more controversial life styles. These life styles are so close but so different, people visit Amsterdam for many different reason and even the red light district is beautiful, architecture sets the scene for everything but the people change the eviroment.
